This decision has been taken following the extremely serious and distressing circumstances currently surrounding the club. The situation has had a significant impact on our players, coaches, volunteers, officials and wider club community.

In recent days, members of our football club have been subjected to unwanted contact, including phone calls and messages from individuals outside of the club regarding the situation. This has understandably caused considerable distress and anxiety among those affected.

After careful consideration and consultation with both the Southern Counties East Football League and Kent FA, we believe that postponing this weekend’s fixtures is the right and responsible decision. The welfare and wellbeing of everyone connected with Rusthall FC must come first.

We want to make it absolutely clear that Rusthall FC does not condone, tolerate or support any form of inappropriate behaviour, abuse or criminality, and we will continue to cooperate fully with the relevant authorities and governing bodies.

As a club, we ask supporters and members of the public to refrain from speculation, sharing unverified information or contacting individuals connected with the club about the matter. These are serious circumstances which should be dealt with through the appropriate channels.

We understand that supporters of all teams involved will be disappointed by the postponements, particularly given the importance of the Bank Holiday fixture, but we firmly believe that the decision has been made in the best interests of our players, staff, volunteers, supporters and the wider community.

We will provide further information regarding the rearranged fixtures when appropriate.
