Following FA Cup success last week against Knaphill, Rusthall face more familiar foes in the shape of Fisher who will travel down from the banks of the Thames on Saturday afternoon, looking for their first win of the season.

A pleasing 3-1 win secured a place in the Preliminary Round of the FA Cup for Rusthall and they will be looking to follow that up and get points on the board in the league after losing 1-0 to Snodland Town on the opening day. Goals from Josh Reid, Jack Kirby and Daniel Atta won the day for the Rustics last week, and along with Louie Clarke, Yassin Fares, Lekan Osideko and Rajan Sahni, the impressive Rusthall front line will be looking for more.

Fisher haven't enjoyed the best start to the season, drawing their first league fixture with Corinthian and needing a 97th minute equaliser from Donald Macauley to gain a point. Last week saw Fisher exit the FA Cup at the first stage with a 3-1 defeat away to Cobham. Alex Kozak has scored in both games so far this season so will no doubt be someone Robbie Bissett and his fellow defenders will be keeping an eye on.

Last season, Rusthall made the journey to the capital just before Christmas and while they were missing a few key players on the day, they were certainly in the festive spirit, gifting 5 goals to Fisher who dominated from start to finish. The game at Jockey Farm was a much tighter affair with Rusthall winning 2-1 late on thanks to an incredible overhead kick from Thompson Adeyemi.

Two favourites for the league go head-to-head early on in the season and it promises to be a cracker. With the latest heatwave set to subside slightly on Saturday, there really will be no better place to enjoy a great match in the sun.
