With the disappointment of a Semi-final exit in the Kent Senior Trophy, Rusthall will be looking to make amends against the very team they beat to make the aforementioned semi-final.
Rusthall travel to The London Hire Stadium on Wednesday night to lock horns with Sutton Athletic. without a win in 3 games the lads will looking to turn their fortunes around after we have slipped out of the play off places.
Currently residing in 6th in the league, one space below the play off spots, Jimmy Anderson's men know there is a lot left to do to secure that illustrious play off spot. After narrowly missing out last season and spending the majority of this season in the play off spots the boys have a flavour for it and will be fighting to get it back. It's not all doom and gloom though, we haven't dropped out solely on results, we have a minimum of 3 games in hand on all teams in the play offs above us, and one of the teams has played 7 more games! With 15 more games to play it's in our hands. and a win on Wednesday night will see us potentially rise back to 3rd, a position we were in last week.
Sutton will not lay down though. Arguably the better side in the Kent Cup quarter final and now managerless after the surprising departure of Peter Nolan, they will be something of an unknown quantity when we meet on Wednesday. There's a couple of familiar faces in the Sutton squad, Goalkeeper Jack Glassborrow and frequent sub, Frank Little who the boys will know all about.
Come along and support the boys!
