MIDWEEK PREVIEW: ON THE ROAD AGAIN

MIDWEEK PREVIEW: ON THE ROAD AGAIN

Club Admin20 Apr - 09:30

We're back on the road chasing the playoffs!

After a fantastic and much needed bounce-back performance on Saturday the playoff dream is still very much alive!

This Tuesday the lads travel to The G.I Landscapes Stadium to face Snodland Town. With one win in their last 11 games on paper this looks like it could be a good chance to seal a playoff berth for Rusthall, however, this is the SCEFL Premier Division which is not shy in throwing up shock results!

Rusthall will be looking to SCEFL golden boot front runner, Louie Clarke, to inspire another great performance and hopefully 3 points on the road, something we have only done 5 times this season.

Whilst Rusthall have struggled on the road this season, Snodland have a poor home record having only won 5 of their 16 home games.

Jimmy Anderson will be looking for a repeat of Saturday's performance. A performance in which every single player had a great game.

A win will put the Rustics in 3rd position, maintain that position and it's a home tie in the play off semi final.

Playoff Watch

There are 5 teams vying for the 4 playoff positions. 1 team already has their place booked, that is Fisher and barring a loss on their last game off a season and either Rusthall or Punjab going on a scoring fest and making up a big goal difference they will be guaranteed 2nd position giving them home advantage for all of the play off games they are involved in.

Larkfield & New Hythe have 1 game left and are currently in 3rd position on 60 points. Larkfield travel to Stansfeld on the last game of the season.

Bearsted currently hold the final spot in the playoff positions (5th) with 59 points but a worse goal difference than us. They welcome Sutton on the last game of the season.

Punjab currently sit 6th in the league on 56 points and due to their amazing FA Vase cup run will have a busy week of catching up. Tuesday they host Stansfeld, Thursday the host Hythe and they will close off their league campaign away at Snodland on the last game of the season.
