By finishing in 3rd position in the league thanks to our 3-0 win over Holmesdale this weekend the Rustics welcome 4th placed Larkfield & New Hythe to The Jockey Farm Stadium in a one-leg Semi Final playoff match!

The prize for the victor? Fisher or Punjab in the final on the upcoming bank holiday Monday, If it's Fisher, it's away, if it's Punjab, it's at home. But before we get ahead of ourselves we have an incredibly tough semi final tie vs Larkfield to overcome first.

This will be the 4th meeting between the 2 clubs this season. The 2 league games both ended 1-1 in very tight games. The first game was away at Larkfield with Charlie Clover putting Rusthall in the lead in a very tight game. Bryan Zepo equalised late on to share the points.

The reverse fixture was played in October and a penalty apiece from Yassin Fares and Tyler Ibe shared the spoils.

Then March saw the two teams lock horns again, this time in the SCEFL Challenge Cup semi final, Larkfield led for most of the game and looked to be booking their Cup final Spot, Jack Kirby and Louie Clarke had other ideas and inspired a Rusthall comeback, both scoring to win the tie for the Rustics and sending them to Flamingo Park.

This promises to be a tight game, all 3 games have been this season. With the prospect of a Playoff final or another season in step 5 the two outcomes for these teams you can see why it may be a bit cagey.
