This Tuesday night sees the Rustics lock horns, once again, with local rivals Tunbridge Wells in what will be a rare midweek evening derby fixture. Both teams will be looking to book a SCEFL Challenge Cup semi-final place.

Rusthall arrive in the quarter finals having easily disposed of Chessington & Hook in the last round- the round before was a great comeback win after unexpectedly being 2-0 down to SC Thamesmead but eventually winning 4-3.

Tunbridge Wells' path to the quarter final saw them beating Banstead 2-0 and then knocking out Erith & Belvedere on penalties after a 3-3 draw.

Both teams have played just one game since we met on 27th December last year- Rusthall beating Kennington at home 3-1 with something of a makeshift squad due to injuries, whilst Tunbridge Wells drew this weekend with Bearsted who scored a last minute equaliser to make the game 2-2.

The Rustics will be boosted by the return of Robbie "Outback" Bissett who returns from a lengthy spell away when he went down under. We will also be hoping to see the returns from injury for both Yassin Fares and Josh Reid. Add new signing, Finlay Lovatt, into the mix and this could be an incredibly strong Rusthall side.

Tunbridge Wells are likely to be missing Rory Ward for this game as he sees out another game of his 3 game suspension for his 2nd red card of the season, which would be a shame for them as it felt like he was really missed back in December.

Rusthall will be hoping "penalty-taker" Louie Clarke continues to find the back of the net (21 goals this season) and MOTM from our last game, Charlie Clover, also continues to bang them in (16 goals this season).

The Wells will be relying on top scorer D'Armando Lawrence (12 in all comps) for their firepower.

This promises to be a fantastic match in front of another big crowd.
