Our Reserves have booked their place in the quarter finals of The Bill Manklow Inter Regional Challenge Cup this afternoon with a comfortable 1-4 win over Welling Park FC!
With 9 missing, Lee Chambers squad of 14 made the trip to South East London to play out the third round tie.
The tough conditions didn’t prevent the lads from getting on the front foot early on, they finished the first half 3 goals ahead and so far had kept Welling Park from scoring - the perfect start.
The second half began with the added challenge of the icy wind blowing against them, but managed to find the net one more time before finishing the game 1-4 and a place in the quarters confirmed.
Three 16 year old players made up the 14-man squad, including returning goalkeeper Jack Turnbull who made his comeback after a 12 week period out with a broken collarbone.
Congratulations, lads!
