The action returns at The Jockey Farm Stadium as Rusthall face Kennington with the Rustics looking for three points to take them up the table. With three games played, Rusthall sit on 3 points thanks to a late win over Fisher, while Kennington have played two more games and find themselves in 4th place on 8 points.

A break of two weeks will hopefully have given everyone at the club a chance to reset and refresh, and no doubt the focus will be firmly on getting this season up and running properly. Last time out, Rusthall exited the FA Cup at the Preliminary Round stage with defeat at home to Sheppey United. It was the same team who defeated Kennington in the previous round but since their FA Cup exit, 'The Ton' have been on a good run with progress in the FA Vase, wins in the league over Larkfield and New Hythe and Tunbridge Wells and a draw away at Snodland Town. Their only other blip came in their game on Bank Holiday Monday at home against Faversham Strike Force with a 2-1 defeat stopping them topping the table. It's a team in good form which will make its way down Nellington Road on Saturday afternoon and Rusthall will have to be at their best to take the points.

The goals have been pretty well shared out for Kennington so far this season, to the extent that even goalkeeper Joe Mant found himself on the scoresheet, scoring late on to secure that 2-2 draw at Snodland Town. Kai Garrett, Bradley Walledge, Jake Abrahams and captain Tom Scorer have all chipped in with two goals each so it's clear Kennington possess goal threats throughout the team.

There were three games between the sides last season, with Rusthall winning two and losing one. A 3-2 defeat away for The Rustics at the beginning of November was disappointing having twice come from behind thanks to a brace from Jack Kirby and with the winner scored in the 97th minutes. Later the same month, Rusthall returned to Kennington and claimed a 3-1 win- Rajan Sahni, now playing for Rusthall, gave Kennington the lead before two goals from Yassin Fares and one from Robbie Bissett gave the Rustics three points. It was 3-1 again at Jockey Farm in January- Louie Clarke opened the scoring before Charlie Clover added two more. A late consolation from Ryan Philpott made no difference and Rusthall marched on while Kennington ended the season in 16th place.

With the sunny weather set to return, players and fans alike desperate to get back on the pitch and back to winning ways, and as ever, a great atmosphere guaranteed, The Jockey Farm Stadium is the place to be on Saturday afternoon.
