A place in the Kent Senior Trophy Final awaits the victor of this weekend's tie.
For the second successive weekend, we head to the seaside to face Whitstable Town FC. The Rustics will be hoping to put in a much improved display this weekend, especially with a Cup Final as the prize for the winner.
Whitstable's route to this semi final has seen them beat Holmesdale 4-0 away, Croydon FC 4-1 away and Fisher 5-1 at home in the quarter final last month in front of 641 fans. As we learned last weekend, Rusthall will need to be aware of both Bradley Schafer and Javaun Splatt- between them they have 9 goals in this competition, 5 for Schafer, 4 for Splatt. This includes a hat-trick for Schafer in the last round vs Fisher.
Rusthall's route to the semi final has been, with the greatest respect, slightly easier. The first round saw us brush off Sheppey Sports at home 6-0, then a tricky tie at Kennington saw us come out 3-1 victors and in the quarter final we beat Sutton on an incredibly boggy pitch 2-0. Yassin Fares is the top scorer in the competition for us with 3 goals. We have three players on 2 goals, Charlie Clover, Louie Clarke and Robbie Bissett (yes you read that right!).
We know from last weekend that this will be a very tough game for us but the boys have been working all week to make amends and we need to get behind them as much as we can and let's be honest, a semi final for Rusthall is a rare sight!!
With so much at stake, let's get behind the boys and cheer them over the line!
