SC Thamesmead were the visitors to The Jockey Farm Stadium on a glorious Bank Holiday Monday.
Although its early in the season the two sides were sitting next to one another in the table.
As the previous week, against Lydd Town FC, the Rustics got off to a flyer. Luke Adams scoring from close range after just 3 minutes.
Adams was to profit 5 minutes later from some poor defending. Picking up the ball 25 yards out he advanced, round the keeper and slotted home.
Reuel Powell-Downey made it 3-0 before half time after good wing play from Steve Camacho.
Thamesmead went down to 10 men after a reckless challenge just to make their task even harder.
SC Thamesmead started the 2nd half better and were rewarded with a goal of their own.
However, this sparked the Rustics back into life and Powell-Downey scored a beauty when firing into the top corner from an acute angle.
Adams then completed his hatrick, and not to be out done so did Powell-Downey with another fine volleying finish.
Full time: 6-1 and another excellent result.
The FA Vase is next for Jimmy and the lads, with a tricky away tie against Balham FC.
